No tools for systematic comparison of insurers' offers or justifying rate choices. Policies were renewed with the existing insurer without market comparison. Running a manual tender required weeks of routine work for already busy staff. Hiring dedicated insurance roles was not cost-effective.
The insurance portfolio for 66 vehicles was digitised: all vehicle data, active policies and sums insured were consolidated in a single digital environment. The client only provided initial documentation. Two open tenders were held — one for motor own-damage insurance, one for MTPL — with 8 insurers participating in each. All received the same portfolio data and competed for the contract simultaneously. Each tender lasted 10 calendar days. Renewals, documentation and claims settlement are now managed in a single digital environment.
